Lake Worth, Florida
Let me tell you why I love Lake Worth, Florida. I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale a half-century ago. Before it developed. Here, in Lake Worth, you have a taste of the old Florida, as I remember it as a child. The beach, with its pier, places to eat, barbecue sites, funky beach shops reminds me of the beach where I took long walks looking for shells with my grandparents. The town itself, is unique, I believe. Just a few blocks long, it is nothing fancy, yet quite charming.
Tranquil during the day, hopping at night, Lake Worth offers visitors a unique resort-style vacation.
My vacation home rentals, which I call Travelers Palm Inn, include two cute vacation apartments in quaint downtown Lake Worth within minutes to the beach. They are in a 1940 Key West-style house -- a shuttered, white-clad building with a tin roof, surrounded by Old Florida tropical gardens and patios. The vacation home rental apartments were completely renovated in 2006, but they still retain the old town, Key West-style charm. Architectural features include hard wood floors and high ceilings. They are freshly painted, newly furnished and decorated tastefully.
The layout in the upstairs vacation rental, includes a large living room with a sleeping area, bathroom, and new large eat-in kitchen. Downstairs, the vacation rental apartment has one bedroom and bathroom, an eat-in kitchen and living room. Amenities include central air, washer/dryer, TV, basic cable.

Even though Lake Worth has a sleepy resort-town retro feel during the day, there is nothing retro about Lake Worth at night. Just a block and a half from the center of town, Travelers Palm Inn is conveniently located near restaurants and shops. Living in Lake Worth is fun and is a destination for music and lightlife in Palm Beach County.
